2nd day in paradise

March 1, 2013 - Friday
Happy Birthday, Roger.  We missed a lot of important dates this year.  We woke up to paradise and had a great breakfast buffet - part of the package.  We then walked to town - less than 10 minutes.  We got some groceries for lunch and snacks.  When we got back it was hot so we decided to get into the sea.  We picked up some snorkeling gear and as we were walking back to our bungalow a huge sea turtle went swimming by.  Unfortunately we didn't see him again.  We got on our suits and jumped in off our own deck.
Dale climbing down the ladder right off our deck.

There he goes - looking for fish all ready.  We snorkled out to the coral ring.  Right under our bungalow the water is very shallow, but gets deeper as you go out.  Then it gets real shallow again as you get into the coral.  We saw some sting ray buried in the sand and lots of bright blue, yellow, zebra fish, and who knows what else - so pretty.  We swam back and sat in our chairs and read and napped and enjoyed our little piece of paradise.  Then the skies opened up and it started to rain the rest of the afternoon.  When you have no plans and it is still warm it doesn't really matter.  We were going to walk to the resturant for supper, about a 10 minute walk, but it was still raining pretty hard.  For no cost, many restaurants will come pick you up.  So, that is what we did.  It was a quaint little restaurant and we ordered seafood puffs and parrot fish.

This is our parrot fish.  There were only 2 couples so we got great service.  It had now stopped raining so we walked back.  There wasn't much traffic and there was a "sidewalk" so it was an easy walk with our umbrella.
