Day of R and R

Today was an R and R day.  Yes, we have been "working" hard.  We slept in and Raquel made us cottage cheese pancakes, very good and we ate them outside on the patio.  The day started to warm up so the suits went on - they are called costumes here- and into the pool we went.  The kids had a couple of friends over for a play date.  Their parents are from South Africa and they go to the same church and school that our family goes to and they are the nicest children.  They were all in the pool for awhile and then played indoors.  Raquel, Dale and I hung out in the pool until we had to get out and feed the munchkins.  Life is so hard.  The afternoon flew by and Raquel and Josh left on a date.  They went into the city to go out to dinner and a movie.  That left us with the great duty of babysitting two wonderful children all by ourselves.  After supper we played UNO MOO, Old Maids, and GO Fish and people think I don't like to play games.  Then prayers and kisses and off to bed.  Haven't heard a peep out of them.

Footnote from yesterday:  The Three Sisters rock formation is called this because of an Aboriginal legend.  The story tells of three sisters were turned to stone by their witch doctor father to keep them safe from an evil monster.  What was the man thinking?

Off to bed - think the beach is calling tomorrow!!!  Better not forget the sun screen.
