Opera House - Cat in the Hat

Up early, catch the train and get off at Circular Quay (Key) and walk to the Opera House.  John and Carlene Malin gave us tickets as a Christmas gift to the "Cat in the Hat" at the Opera House in the little theater.  It was exactly like the book and was a great performance.  We all enjoyed it and age had nothing to do with enjoying a wondeful children's book performed on stage.  We stayed for story telling and also a walk around look at the icon building exterior.  We will be back to see more at another time.

Walkway from Quay to the Opera House and across the harbour where our cruise ship will be docked in 2 weeks.

The Opera House is actually 3 separate buildings.  This is one of them.  These roofs are sections of a sphere.

Many, many ceramic titles make up the exterior of the building roof.

Steps leading up to the Opera House and the glimmering sunlight off the tile roof.

Sitting by the Opera House and having a wonderful view of the Harbour Bridge.

Sundial at the Botanical Gardens by the Opera House.  We will be back here later too.

Grocery shopping after swim lessons for both Grace and Lance.  General Mills makes El Paso food products and here they are.  Josh is the plant manager.  They also make Betty Crocker products.  Who would think you would have to go to Australia to find Mexican food produced!  Josh also says Mexican foods are becoming more popular here.
