Wine, coffee and chocolate

Our day started with picking up Kenyons at their resort and then driving to the Table Lake area - up into the mountains.  There we stopped at a Mango winery.  They have 17,500 trees that they harvest the mangos from.  We thought we would not like the wine as it would be to sweet.  They had a variety and we had a sip of all - not bad.  We purchased 2 bottles and also remarked "not like a Napa Valley Winery", but still very good and very interesting.

Marty and Cynthia checking out the mangos.

We huncreds of these termite (ant) hills.  Most were at least 4 feet tall and we were told there is twice that size under ground.  These are not the kind that eat wood, but I would think still not fun to have around.  As we were driving we saw 4 road kills - 2 kangroos, 1 wild boar and 1 wallaby.  Cynthia wouldn't let us stop and take pictures.

Next stop was Coffee Works. This place grows its own coffee, roasts and grinds and sells many varieties of coffee as well as tea.  They have their own coffee but also coffee from all over the world.  In addition to coffee, they have chocolate.  What was not  to like?  We sampled and sampled and then bought some of their sandwiches for lunch.  We sat on their porch and enjoyed our meal with more coffee and chocolate.

They also had a coffee museum - Jim thought it had to be the world's largest coffee museum.  Above is a small sample.

This is a papya.  The fruit around here is so exotic and sweet.

Stop in the cemetary - oldest grave we saw was death in 1883.  Dale took this picture because of all the tile work. We had another lovely dinner and had a very interesting and educational day inspite of the rain.
