This and that

We gave Grace a sewing kit for Christmas because Raquel said she wanted to learn to sew. This morning we went shopping for fabric.  Grace decided she wanted to make a nightgown.  Some fabric was rejected because it had white on the border - explained to her that would be cut off, some rejected because it had strings attached and so on.  She
finally settled on flying butterflies on a dark background - butterflies flying at night - works for us.  Marty is also going to make her a matching gown for her American Girl doll.  Hopefully we will get Grace's made while we are here.

Grace got dropped off at home so she could play with Papa and Lance.  Marty and Raquel  went to do a few hours of shopping.  They stopped at a sushi bar.  The food in the background is on a conveyer.  You sit at the counter and take what you want.  You are charged according to color of plate.  It was very good and we had fun.  Shopping wasn't real fruitful, but it was a wonderful mother/daughter time.

Lance and Papa built a dune bug and it really runs.  They also played some Wii.

Grace and Papa worked on her string and this is Jacob's Ladder.  If she takes the center with her teeth and pulls it up she has the Harbour Bridge.

Josh made us a wonderful dinner of grilled trout.  Lots of veggies that Raquel grilled and we had a gourmet meal complete with Whoppie Pies!!
