First Sunday Down Under

We started our Sunday by going to Hillsong Church.  Music , message by Mike from the UK and the wonderful people made for a very special Sunday service.  We thoroughly enjoyed all of it.   After church, we ran for home, got our lunch, and took several forms of transportation to Bondi Beach.  It is the most famous and most crowded of Sydney's beaches.  Not today.  It was cool and cloudy and eventually rained.  You can see in the picture that there were still surfers and swimmers, but we elected to just walk.  We followed
the path that winds along the sea sculpted cliffs to Tamarama and Bronte beaches

Bondi Beach behind us

Bondi Iceberg public restaurant and pool.  Each beach has a pool that is filled with sea water and yet is a regular pool right on the water edge.

Having latte coffee and hot chocolate at Tamarama Beach.

View on our walk.

The park was full even though the weather was cool and drizzly.  These people are having a typical barbecue "Barbie".  Pavillions are divided into 4 sections so every group can have a private party.

.
QVB - Queen Victoria Building - now a great mall, but use to be a market and horses drove into it.  It was also a library.

Barbecue King - actually Chinese food - we ate Peking Duck, pork, chicken and duck and fried rice.  Ending our evening with gellato.
