On our way to New Zealand

January 30, 2013 - It will take 2 days to get to New Zealand - lots of time to do as little or as much as we want.  LAZY morning- did some walking on the deck and had lunch.   After lunch we headed to the ice rink where we watched an amazing ice show.  We had front row seats and so fun to watch.  We spent a little bit of time on the pool deck, but it was too cold and windy.  The captain said the seas were high due to all the storms up by the Gold Coast area.  Dinner was wonderful - pasta, fish and lamb and the best chocolate desserts.  Our show was a singer who could impersonate many famous singers - he was a great singer as well as very funny commedian.  It was 70's night on the ship and they had a 70's show on the promenade - of course we didn't have our cameras.  The "Village People" performed and the fav was the cowboy who was wearing his hat and chaps and a speedo.  It was quite the sight as he danced in the crowd.   We went to "The Vault" and danced some more.

Marty encourages all of us to use the stairs instead of the lifts.  So, Jim is sitting on the steps waiting for us.  Jim says it is 80 steps up/down, plus, the trek from forward to the aft of the ship for dining on level 4 or 1 level up for the "windjammer" buffet.

The favorite bar on he ship promenade.

Running into our table mates at the "Pig and Whistle"  who tended to stop here frequently.
