Today was Grace's Swim Carnival - this is the only one they have all year at her school and we got to go - what a treat for us. We got up early, dropped Lance off at school and then headed to the pool. Grace is in Carey House - that is determined by the first letter of your last name and there are 4 houses. Before the meet started we posed for a picture in front of the Carey sign.

Beginning of the race - she was off to a good start.

The four girls in the relay - Grace had the last leg and is still in the pool.
Grace's ribbons - 2nd place in 50 meter butterfly, 1st place in 50 meter freestyle, 1st place in 50 meter breast stroke and 1 st place in 50 meter back stroke, 1st place in 100 meter freestyle. Her relay team also won 1st place and her house came in first place in the carnival overall. We told her we were the proudest grandparents there. She did an amazing job and will now go on to zone (like conference). She was obviously very happy, but also very humble with the gift God has given here.
We went to pick up Lance and Dale and Marty enjoyed the signage. When parents take their children to school they are to give them a kiss and then drop them off for school.
After swimming and winning races Grace came home to do her Valentine's for school. Look at that smile!
The kids, with Raquels help, made Valentine wafers for their classmates.
Lance had fun decorating too.
