School assembly

Friday - February 15, 2013

Raquel ran the kids to school today and when she got home we did a few house cleaning items and then Dale, Marty and Raquel drove over to Beecroft.  That is a little town
where we always catch the train to go into the city.  Aussies like their morning coffee so we stopped at a cafe and had coffee and muffins.   Then Dale sat on a bench while Marty and Raquel visited some of the little shops.  We then hurried home as we had to be at school before 1:30 for the kids "induction" assembly.
This bus is for Jim Kenyon - while he was in Australia he was taking pictures of license plates - we got them all in one shot on the side of the bus.

The students all came into the auditorium in a very orderly fashion - the little blond in the center is Lance - playing close attention.
Grace is 2nd from the left, front row.  She received a certificate that says she has been selected as a Prefect for the first term.  That means she is a leader for her class and has certain responsibilities for the first term such as collecting lunch orders, give weather assistance, welcome new children, report bad behavior on the playground, toilets, buses or other places and other duties.

A closer shot of our school girl.

With her certificate

Her good friend Tayla.

Proud grandparents

Got home from school and the kids took their cruise ship out to sea.

Think the ship has been docked.

Raquel went out with some girlfriends to celebrate a birthday and Josh made us a wonderful dinner of salmon and sweet potatoes.
